Mission
Family and Child Treatment of Southern Nevada (FACT) is dedicated to
helping
children, adults and families overcome and heal the traumas of abuse, neglect
and violence through education, prevention and treatment services.
History
Family and Child Treatment of Southern Nevada has been providing counseling,
education and prevention services to victims of child abuse since 1984.
Originally opened in 1984 as Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Program (CSAT), the
mission was to provide low cost treatment to children and their families who
may otherwise not be able to access services. In 1990 United Way assisted our
agency in a merger with another organization that shared our mission. The
ideals, values and the program grew to include families and adults who were
molested as children. Today, FACT provides comprehensive services with
financial assistance from United Way, state and federal grants, and individual
and corporate donations.
